Are you staying local, traveling out of state, out of the country? All of these should be questions you should be asking yourself. Something simple like knowing if you would need to bring your passport or not can be crucial for your trip.

Are you currently traveling in the summer, fall, winter, or spring? Also, even if you know the season in which you will be traveling, it is still important for you to see the weather of the location you are going to. If you are headed to Florida, especially in the summertime, you can for sure expect hot weather and torrential downpours.

Will it be by car, train, airplane, boat? This is good to know because it can let you know how and what to pack. For example, if traveling by car, you pack snacks and food in a cooler, whereas, if traveling by airplane, your food and snacks are sort of limited.

On our week-long stacay, we stayed at a vacation house for the first half of the week, and for the second half of the week, we stayed in a hotel. So you can imagine there are things that we needed to bring to the vacation house that we didn’t necessarily need at a hotel. So it’s definitely to know what type of lodging you will be residing in during your vacation.

This is very important because it helps set the temperature of knowing how much to pack. You don’t want to not be paying attention to the length of stay, and then you end up with 3 pairs of underwear for a week’s stay.
