Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend celebrating all of the amazing dads and fathers!
We had a pretty busy weekend ourselves but I can say my husband thoroughly enjoyed his Father’s Day. All he wanted to do was eat his favorite foods and have his chill time. For this Father’s Day, my husband wanted a tool set and also an empty tool box in which he could put all of his gadgets in, so that’s what me and the kids gave him. My husband is a techy gadget guy, so you can imagine how my husband was filling about his gifts! Super happy!
Since this month, we celebrate Father’s, I wanted to share a great wife’s confession that you can speak daily over yourself as a wife and over your husband. This is a confession that my Pastors gave each married couple on one of our annual married couple trips that we would take with our church (pre-pandemic). Can’t wait for them to resume!
I wanted to share this confession because it’s important as wives, we build not only ourselves up, but also our husbands as well. Because like I always say, you have what you say!
So go ahead and say this Dream Maker Wife’s Confession. Where there are blanks, be sure to fill it in with your name or your husband’s name.
DREAM MAKER WIFE’S CONFESSION
Father, in Jesus’ name, I embrace the truth of YOUR Word and I commit to change whatever needs to be changed in my life in order to bring to captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ. I am a virtuous woman and _____ is a mighty man of valor. I have found your pattern for me in Your Son Jesus. I set my heart to walk in submission and unity with ______ , as unto the Lord.
The light of Your Word shines on my path. It is my desire to please ______ . _______ is good for me, and good to me. As _____ wife, I am spiritually focused, emotionally strong, intellectually capable, domestically balanced, economically sharp, and walk in integrity and unquestionable character.
I commit to make restitution for any damage I have caused _____ through deep misguided expectations. I help _____ develop as a person, and let him help me. I believe _____ shines on me as the sun shines on the earth as my covering. I look to _____ to bring me warmth, nurturing, protection and security.
Because of the joy it will bring to both of us, I gladly release faith to walk in the grace to be _____ wife. I will gladly bear the cross of our relationship, allowing _____ to be himself. I die to anything that hinders or hurts our relationship. I declare that ______ and I are experiencing a new creation marriage where old things are passed away and all things become new. In Jesus name. Amen.
