Happy Monday #busymamas! I hope you all had a restful, enjoyable weekend.
On this week’s blog, I wanted to show you How To Have A Productive Week: Kid Edition. Part of being overall productive in your life, means that you are also productive in the kid area. Ask yourself these questions?
-Are my kids set up for a successful week?
-Do you know their meals and snacks for the week?
-Do you know what they are wearing this week?
-Have you wrote out their schedules?
I get it……being a mom, wife, boss, and everything else can be A LOT at times. But being a productive mom, wife, and boss can make your life so much easier. Here are 5 ways that have helped me have a more productive week with the kiddos, and I know for sure it will help you too!
1 – Clean up & Prep Their Virtual School desk area
-Go ahead and clean out all of the clutter from their previous week of school work. Make sure they start the week off with clean desks and make sure to not have anything on the floor. By cleaning and decluttering can help your kids have a better week (and in return, you will also have one!)
2 – Lay Out Their Clothes
-Whether you choose to lay out their clothes the night before or all of their clothes at the beginning week, whichever option you choose, will cause you to have one less thing to do off of your own list. This is definitely a nugget right here because this frees up so much mind space – you don’t have to think about what your kid(s) will need to wear everyday.
3 – Meal Planning
-Meal Plan that thang! Listen – if you are trying to be productive with your kids this week, be sure to have a meal plan. Knowing all the kids’ snacks and meals makes your week even the better!
4 – Print out any Schedules/Assignments Your Kids May Need
-If your kids have any assignments and/or schedules, be sure to print them out. Once they have been printed, be sure to leave them out in area where you can see as well as the kids can see as well.
5 – Write Out Your Kid’s Schedule and Calendar
-Everyday I write out my kids’ schedule by the hour. This not only helps me and the hubby keep the kids on task, but it also helps the kids stay on task as well. It’s also important that you put on your calendar any important assignments, tests, and/or appointments, so that everyone can be on the same page as well.
I hope these tips would be of great help to you in making your life easier as they have been for me.
Love,
Kimberly Gumbs
