Happy Labor Day Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your extended weekend! If you’re reading this, we have officially completed the first 3 weeks of school and guess what?! WE SURVIVED!!
Aiden started 2nd grade this year, and Paris started VPK/Pre-Kindergarten. With everything happening with COVID-19 , their school gave us two options in how they can attend school: either face-to-face instruction or virtual/distance learning. So me and my hubby decided that it was best for us to keep them home and let them attend school virtually. I commend all parents during this time, because we all had to make some tough decisions with our kids’ schooling for this school year.

3 BACK TO SCHOOL TIPS: VIRTUAL/DISTANCE LEARNING EDITION
#1 PREP: Whether you decide to prep the weekend prior for their school week, or the night before, be sure to write out the daily schedule by hour on what they are to do so that not only keeps them on schedule, but allows you to keep them on schedule as well.
#2 FOOD CALENDAR: Just like schools will give out monthly lunch schedules, it will save a lot of time and energy if you plan out their whole month’s food schedule which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and their snacks. By having a monthly food calendar for my kids, it has done wonders to my productivity and has taken a lot of the hectic stress of the week out of the equation.
#3 GET THEM DRESSED FOR SCHOOL: My kids wear uniforms at their school, and their school requires them to be dressed in their uniform for their virtual/distance learning. Even if your kids’ school do not wear uniforms, I found that getting them up and dressed in the morning puts them in a mindset that they have to be ready to attend school and get their work done.
So in all, it has not been perfect nor easy, but just know that it is do-able!
Love Always,
