Happy Monday #busymamas!  I hope that each and every single one of you were able to have a great, restful weekend. On this week’s blog post, I wanted to show you How To Have A Productive Week: Self-Care Edition

As being busy moms, you can not effectively operate in your role as a mom, wife, boss, and all of the other titles you have, if you don’t take care of yourself first. I’m sure you have heard of the saying you can not pour from an empty cup. Well, it’s true. Self-care is crucial. You need to be whole so that you can fully operate in the role God has called you to be!

I get it……being a mom, wife, boss, and everything else can be A LOT at times. But being a productive mom, wife, and boss can make your life so much easier. Here are 3 ways that have helped me have a more productive week in regards to my self-care, and I know for sure it will help you too!

1 – Help Set Yourself Up To Have A Successful Week

-Just like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago how you have to help set your spouse up for a successful week, you have to do the same for yourself.  If you don’t already do this, get a set day and/or time you can pray for and over yourself. Because guess what, you need it. Pray over your physical and mental health, pray for your wealth, pray for your peace, pray for wisdom, etc. Pray for any and all areas that you need to cover yourself in. This will definitely be a gamechanger for you in having a successful week by getting God involved.

2 – Set a Day/Time to Brain Dump

-So your mind won’t live in clutter all week long, set a time and/or day for you to brain dump. As busy moms, we have millions of things going on in our brains at one time. So to declutter our thought life, brain dump! Whether you decide to do it daily, or have a set day of the week, calendar that thang and get all that’s in your head down on paper (or app if you’re digital) so you can think clearly throughout the week.  For me, I like to do it on the weekend as I’m prepping for the week, and also throughout the week as things come to mind, so I won’t forget about them.

3 – Set Aside Time for You

-Whether it’s praying, meditating, exercising, journaling, getting work done alone, watching shows you love, getting your nails, hair, eyebrows, wax done, and the list can go on and on and on, but you get the picture. Set aside some time during the week for you.  For me, my goal is to get up early enough before my household, to pray, mediate, exercise, and get some work done before the rest of the household gets up.  But can someone say….”Baby steps!” lolol  It’s a work in progress, but I’m getting there!

I hope these tips are helpful for you to have a productive week this week!

Love,
