With everything that has been happening in the world this year, my Pastor led our church on a 21-Day Daniel fast over the summer.  During this fast, I saturated myself more daily in hearing the Word, praying, and confessing.

For Each day of the fast, I did the following:

-Listened to several hours of faith-filled teaching and preaching
-Prayed our daily focus for that specific day
-Confessed the Word of God for that day’s specific focus (said Affirmations in alignment with the Word of God)
-Meditated on scriptures for that day’s specific daily focus
-Listened to some good Gospel & Christian music
-And of course adhered to the type of food and drink intake of the Daniel Fast

This was my first time completing the Daniel Fast, and from this fast, I can say that I heard clearly from God. It was on 07/23/20 at 2:15am (yes, I was still up at this time – I blame COVID for having me on a quarantine schedule…lol). But anywho, like I said, it was on 07/23/20 at 2:15am, where I heard from God CLEARLY, and wrote down what He told me in my notes app on my phone.

He told me that I need to work on not procrastinating on the things I know to do. He told me to keep being Consistent. And the last thing He told me, was to read The Will To Win by Pastor Bridget Hilliard, and that was significant in itself, because I happen to already have this book in my possession, but I never finished it.

I’m like, “Wow God!” You really do know the desires of our hearts, and in order for us to manifest those desires, you know all of the things that we must do on our part.. And in my case, I need to not procrastinate, remain consistent, and read this book.  In this book The Will To Win, Pastor Bridget Hilliard talks about winning in life in the area of personal private matters that require discipline, endurance, and focus.  She addresses how she used her will to win in the area of weight loss, however, the principles for winning are universal and can be applied to any area of personal struggle, so this book is a definite must-read if you are struggling in any area that would require for you to have discipline, endurance, and focus.

The Will To Win

I’ve just started reading this book and it’s already so good! I know it’s one for me where I’m going to have to go back and re-read, take notes, and highlight!  As a woman who is a wife, mom, sister, cousin, aunt, employee, boss, minister, and everything else, having a will to win is crucial to being successful in life. So ladies, if you are needing to have some discipline, endurance, and focus in any area of your life, I recommend you also make the decision to have a Will To Win and also read this book! I’ve linked it below for your reference. 🙂
